Enhance Certificate in Lighting Sales Success Gains ISP Endorsement

This endorsement is a significant step for the lighting sector, and means sales professionals can now develop their skills through a programme that not only reflects the technical and regulatory needs of our industry, but also meets the highest standards of professional sales practice.
The Enhance Certificate in Lighting Sales Success was created in response to a growing demand from employers for training that bridges industry expertise with commercial capability. Designed by the industry, for the industry, the programme equips sales professionals with the tools to understand customer needs, build stronger relationships, and create long-term value in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
Through its rigorous endorsement process, the ISP has recognised the quality and relevance of the programme. This gives employers and learners confidence that completing the Enhance Certificate provides a clear route to professional recognition, aligned with wider career pathways both within lighting and more broadly across the sales profession.
In assessing the new programme the ISP Reviewer, Sallyann Baldry, said; “I am impressed by the relevance of the course to those working in sales in the lighting industry. Alongside extensive learning resources participants are clearly well supported by the training team at The Lighting Industry Association. This programme will greatly contribute to professionalising sales in the lighting industry”.
Teresa Beazley, Commercial & Training Manager, The LIA, commented; “We’re proud to have created a programme that genuinely reflects the challenges and opportunities of selling in the lighting sector. The ISP’s endorsement reinforces the value of this training, not just for individuals, but for the organisations who rely on confident, capable sales professionals to drive their business forward.”
Graeme Shaw, Thorn Lighting and Chair of The LIA’s Education and Training Committee, said; “For us, this is about raising the bar across the sector and ensuring that sales in lighting is recognised as a true profession. The Committee exists to provide guidance, insight, and expertise to elevate competency and capability in key specialisms.”
This achievement marks another milestone in The LIA’s wider commitment to professional development, ensuring that those working in lighting sales have access to training and recognition that supports both individual growth, and sector-wide progress.
