RoHS Update
The Secretary of State today released the determinations on the RoHS exemption applications covering mercury containing lamps (e.g. fluorescent and HID).
GB are mirroring the EU phase outs but with a delayed timeframe.
Most common fluorescent lamps like T5, T8 and CFL will be banned from placing on the market in GB from 1 Feb 2024. Note – T8 2’, 4’ and 5’ are banned from placing on the market under Ecodesign legislation from 1 Sept 2023.
