Introducing Orpheus: A New Lighting Collection Bridging New York Design and Sussex Craft
Drawing inspiration from the functional simplicity of 1930s task lighting and the fl uted detailing characteristic of the Art Deco era, the Orpheus collection offers forms that are atonce architectural, organic, and sculptural. Each piece is a conversation between the natural landscape of Sussex, the heritage of British design, and the tailored, purposeful approach of Dan Fink’s New York studio. The collection’s name, Orpheus, is a nod to ancient classical beauty and the interplay of music and light.
Handcrafted in Sussex using traditional techniques such as sand and lost-wax casting, metal spinning, and hand-applied fi nishes, Orpheus features materials including hand-formed glass, alabaster, and brass. The result is a collection that celebrates materiality, craftsmanship, and enduring design.
Following its debut, Orpheus will become a permanent addition to Collier Webb’s portfolio, marking the beginning of an ongoing creative partnership between Collier Webb and Dan Fink. The collection comprises eight distinctive styles and will be available exclusively through Collier Webb.
