ACID and the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) excited to form new partnership!
ACID and the BPMA are really excited to launch a partnership to ensure intellectual property (IP) is supported and respected throughout the merchandising industry.
The promotional merchandising sector forms part of the creative industries in the UK, representing in excess of £120bn contribution to the UK economy. Sadly, as ACID know all too well, our creative industries suffer continually from IP infringement and the promotional merchandising industry is no stranger to the challenges and risks to products and brand reputations posed by inferior copies infiltrating the market.
The BPMA operates a strict code of conduct for members and has provided advice to buyers for over 50 years. ACID are delighted to join forces with them to bring IP support, protection and education to their members and buyers, and ensure this key contributor to the creative industries remains one step ahead of the copycats.
Phil Goodman, CEO of the BPMA said, “We are committed to ensuring our members maintain the highest industry standards. Our partnership with ACID will enable all members to access the highest quality Intellectual Property advice, helping to keep them at the forefront of our wonderful industry”.
Laura Newbold Breen, CEO of ACID, said, “this is a fantastic opportunity to continue the BPMA’s fantastic reputation for building trust and compliance within the promotional merchandising sector by bringing IP into the mix of their already great offering. It is another area where we can really bolster our creative industries with IP support, advice and education, and keep growing this invaluable area of our UK economy. I’m really excited to see our relationship with the BPMA develop”.
