Standards Development - UK & Europe - Lutron
The successful applicant will be a knowledge expert on the coordination, communication, and internal position development of standards and regulations which are essential to continued growth of Lutron’s business. A significant focus will be on standards, regulations, creating global advocacy positions and driving opportunities in building codes and building performance standards
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for and learn how to:
- Develop positions for new standards and regulations collaboratively with Lutron businesses and engineering teams.
- Maintain Lutron’s influence in key industry and professional associations, supporting International standards and regulatory development to maintain market availability for Lutron products, and underpinning business growth by ensuring that we continue to develop the right solutions for the market and are positioned to maximise business impact.
- Drive standards and regulations to support the best interests of our customers and company.
- Represent Lutron within standards and regulatory development, industry, and government organizations to develop key relationships and influence requirements. Topics could include electronic communication protocols, sustainability related aspects of products and organisations, substances of concern, product safety, etc.
- Actively communicate trends to internal cross-functional teams, ensuring Lutron is prepared for new standards and regulations.
- Stay aligned with Lutron’s culture and values.
- Confidently convey our position internally and externally.
- Support the UK & European sales organisations by, for example, working with them to understand how standards developments might help/ hinder their business and by preparing and presenting internal and customer training and update tools and by speaking at public events.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Upper-Second Class (2:1)
- Previous experience of working in a technical field
- Demonstrated ability to work through an organization to achieve cross-functional outcomes
- Some travel is required, including to industry committee meetings and international Lutron locations.
- 2nd European Language preferred (French, Spanish or Italian)
