Sales Support Engineer
Job purpose/summary
As the Senior Sales Support Engineer, you will be responsible for support the design and delivery of lighting solutions by assisting commercial sales team with concept development, technical drawings, calculations, product selection, and project coordination to support the growth of the business. Working with the Commercial Sales team to assist with driving and executing strategies, focusing on Key Account development, Segment Growth and the continuation of existing business.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Assist in developing lighting concepts and layouts under guidance from senior designers
- Produce lighting drawings, layouts, and schedules using CAD / BIM software
- Support lighting calculations and compliance checks (e.g. lux levels, glare, energy efficiency)
- Create & provide visual renders and presentations
- Deliver CPD sessions to the sales team listed above.
- Provide ongoing technical support to the sales team listed above.
- Attend sales meetings as required (in person and/or via Teams).
- Provide site demonstrations
- Customer visits / Product meetings
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
Qualification or studying towards a degree/diploma in Product Design, Engineering, or similar
Basic knowledge of lighting principles and photometrics
Proficiency or working knowledge of CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)
Strong attention to detail and organisation
Good communication and teamwork skills
