Key Account Executive - Raytec

Reporting to: Commercial Manager

Location

The role of Key Account Executive requires working from our office in Ashington Monday–Wednesday and remote Thursday–Friday.

 

Purpose of the Job
  • Build long-term, win-win relationships with our distributors

  • Nurture incoming enquiries through every stage, overcoming obstacles and objections

  • Make every lead count—understand the root of the customer’s needs and see the project through to completion

  • Provide tailored solutions that align with customer goals, emphasising value over cost

 
Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Keep existing customers happy—and help them grow

  • Run regular strategy sessions with key accounts

  • Customise training and support to help distributors sell Raytec products more effectively

  • Follow up on hot leads and close deals

  • Build a strong, high-quality sales pipeline

  • Collaborate with marketing to launch territory-specific campaigns

  • Use CRM tools to stay organised and track wins and customer interactions

  • Attend trade shows, events, and customer visits to expand your overseas network

  • Manage daily and monthly workload to ensure key customers are kept updated on Raytec news

  • Understand customer requirements to recommend the best Raytec products or solutions tailored to each project
