The Lighting Industry Academy in partnership with the Premium Light Pro project is offering a one-day workshop with expert trainers that will help set you on your way to planning and implementing a successful street lighting upgrade.
Upgrading street and road lighting to more efficient technology can offer huge benefits – lower energy costs, controllability, improved landscape aesthetics and reduced light pollution, as well as enhanced safety for pedestrians and motorists.
When done correctly, a switch to LED street lighting and an appropriate control strategy can provide significant cost savings in the current climate of council funding pressures, as well as contributing to carbon reduction targets.
Embarking on a street lighting project has many challenges that need to be overcome, such as ensuring sound system design and placement, avoiding light pollution, and ensuring the needs of residents are met.
