Thorn launches new precision designed LED version of Piazza II LED bulkhead
Thorn Lightings new precision-designed LED bulkhead Piazza II LED puts light exactly where it is needed – and nowhere else.
The classic Piazza II has been re-designed for precision and performance evolving into Piazza II LED, offering optimal light distribution with a minimal upward light ratio of less than 2.5% (ULOR).
Piazza II LED also provides an optimal 3 metre forward light throw and a wide spread to either side of the fitting, allowing wide spacing of up to 12 metres.
Thorn’s Piazza II LED features a precise directional LED light source which means that that light is only directed precisely where it is required, so it won’t disturb neighbours, contribute to sky glow or harm the environment or interfere with local wildlife.
The bulkhead provides excellent light quality with a colour temperature of 4000K and a CRI of 80 so that colours remain clear and the lamps have a lifetime of 60,000 hours, thus reducing maintenance. Piazza II LED’s efficacy of over 106lm/W saves energy and meets requirements for the UK’s Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme.
Photosensor and DALI versions allow even more ways to save energy through lighting control. This tough fitting has an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water spray, and IK10 for impact resistance and is supplied with vandal-resistant screws as standard.
This sturdy outdoor fitting is an effective, efficient and simple solution for applications such as warehousing, perimeter walkways, social housing and schools. The new Thorn products will be available from 30th November 2017.
